Sqpack always renumbers messages, cannot be used with smapinntpd. :(

Yep, that's a problem for nntp servers. In the BBS/FTN world the messages are always renumbered in all the tossers I have ever used.

BBBS is an exception to that.

What do you use to maintain your bases that are used with smapinntpd?

Is hptutil a workable tool for you?

Fastecho and GEcho can pack and purge without renumbering.

What do you use to maintain your bases that are used with
    smapinntpd?

    In linux I don't. :)

Is hptutil a workable tool for you?

Hptutil can pack and purge squish bases without renumbering, but I think it is a bit unstable.

    so, what would you suggest?

    https://brorabbit.g0x.ru/files/perl/maintmsg.pl
Perl script for OPUS MSG base service.
This program is designed to service the OPUS MSG base. Sorting by date, renumbering, linking, deleting or moving old messages. Lastreads of all users will be preserved.

    Have nice nights.
